OUR HISTORY
Corrandrum National School is situated 9km north of Claregalway. It is in the parish of Annaghdown, an area renowned for its rich traditions in farming, GAA, music, religion devotion, Irish speakers and neighbourly co-operation. Much has changed at the school since its doors first opened. The school was originally built on land donated by John Burke and his family, Corrandrum, in the early 1900s, and was opened to pupils in April 1907. The school benefited from several essential upgrades and on the 29th of May 2008, the revamped school was officially opened and blessed by Archbishop Michael Neary. These new facilities included a large hall, two new modern classrooms, resource room, learning support room, office, corridor, and staffroom.
